Bounty Hunter/Living Corpse One-Pager!

Well, a lot of you have been wondering about it, even though I'm not sure I even mentioned it on the blog, so I thought I'd let you know where it's at.

The artist, Evan Quiring, sent it to me and I sent it to Peter. Now, Peter has it, and is inking it as we speak. (That's Peter Palmiotti, inker extraordinaire, for those not in the know.)

When he's done, it heads back up to Canada to Jim for coloring and lettering, then back to me, then off to Buz and Ken over at the Living Corpse.

I'd give you a peek, but since it's only one page, that would ruin the whole thing. LOL.

More later.

Bear with me!

Stuff is coming, just a lot slower then I'd like. I've got too much on my plate at the moment. LOL! Yeah, just like me, I know.

Bounty Hunter in Oz is stalled on Chapter 12 at the moment. Hit a bit of a snag, and I'm in the process of working through it. I'm also working on a Bounty Hunter/Living Corpse project together with Evan Quiring, Peter Palmiotti and Jim Rodgers, so that's taking up a bit of my energy. Also on deck at the moment is a Rabid one-shot, featuring two Rabid stories, a team-up with Hayden Fryer's Billy: The Demon Slayer, annnnnnnd I'm totally reworking the zero issue for Bounty Hunter. Again!

Tales of Gratuitous Team-ups, you ask??? Don't know what's going on with that. Only two pages of script left, but who knows? I'll have to go bug Mr. McQuaid about it, and get back to it. LOL.

Like I said, bear with me.

Bounty Hunter in Oz, COMING SOON!

It's a novel. Bounty Hunter goes to Oz. That's all I'm saying right now.

It's being written very quickly, so I just need to get some illustrations done, and it's ready to go.

Stay Tuned.

Upcoming Projects (and the finished cover artwork for Fox Hunt).

Well, here it is, the finished artwork for the Capture Comics cover for Fox Hunt: Tales of Gratuitous Team-Ups. Scott tells me Marc is working on the Rabid/Transmooky Press version right now, so hopefully I'll be posting that soon. In the meantime, enjoy Jim Rodger's fantastic piece.

Now here's what I'm working on at the moment.

Bounty Hunter/Celtic Shaman/Rabid Fox Hunt: Tales of Gratuitous Team-Ups #1

Darren Walters: Bounty Hunter: The Superhero Killings novella

Bounty Hunter #0

And a 10-page short Bounty Hunter comic story that will hopefully be showing up in Planet Lovecraft.

Please note that Bounty Hunter #0 is being reworked. The plan right now is to just publish the 8-10 page back-up origin story, which is also the War of the Independents tie-in, as the the Zero issue. I may also include the 8 page Fusion story by Chris Jones as well. The main part of the issue is now going to be #1 of the series. I just find that the story works better this way. So #0 will be coming your way sooner then planned. Still not sure exactly when, but sooner.

And just so you know, Columbia Comics Golden Age character, The Skyman, and Chris's Fusion, will both be appearing in Fox Hunt. YAY!

Pencils for Fox Hunt cover (Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!)

Well, seeing as how Bounty Hunter #0 artist, Jim Rodgers, sent this to me on Christmas Eve, I thought I'd turn around and make it a Christmas Day present to anyone else who may be interested in seeing it.

This is the cover I'll be using on the copies of Fox Hunt I get printed. There will be two, yes TWO other covers, done by the artists for the other two characters, Celtic Shaman and Rabid. I'll post those here when they are done.

The script is comng along nicely (we're past the half way point) and Celtic Shaman artist, Daniel Wong, has started in on the pencils.

So, sometime in 2009, people. Keep your eyes open!!!

And again, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR from the folks at Capture Comics.

Coming Soon (well, hopefully)!!!

Just a tease!

Wow, it's been a while!

Sorry about the looooong lag time in between updates, people. Life's been hectic, and unfortunately, Bounty Hunter got put to the side for a bit. Good news is, I'm back working on it again. Still hoping to get the Zero issue out before or at the same time as War of the Independents #1. Although.....

...I've done a little restructuring with my planned release schedule. Since the Zero issue doesn't really feature Bounty Hunter in costume very much, being the origin story and all, I've decided to have him appear in a team-up book with two other indie characters first. The characters are Chris McQuaid's Celtic Shaman, and Scott Claringbold and Marc Olivent's Rabid. We're working on the script right now.

And for people who think I've gotten nothing accomplished at all, there is a ten page back-up story for a future issue of Bounty Hunter already in the can, featuring Rabid. Here's a page the final page for you to peek at.

That's Rabid, Bounty Hunter and Golden Age classic, the Skyman. Wheeeeeeee! The story itself is by Scott and Marc, with the last two pages scripted by myself and Marc. Marc did the art for the story.
I have also started work on a short novel chronicling the adventures of Bounty Hunter before he gets the superpowers, called Darren Walters: Bounty Hunter The Super-Hero Killings, so keep your eyes peeled for that.
Anyway, that's it for now. Hopefully the next update will come a lot faster then this one did.

Some news

Well, it's been a while since I had anything to post, but finally something has happened worth sharing.

Another one of the characters from Bounty Hunter will be appearing in one of the War of the Independents' tie-in books.  The below in italics is taken from Peter Palmiotti's MySpace blog.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
War of the Independents: Talon/Ezra/Bright Eyes    Triple Treat

Written by Peter Palmiotti, Mark Torres, Alan Abedessa, Dave Ryan, Swat/Scottie Watson, Sean O'reilly and many more! Trying for a multipal writer brainstorm kinda Disney/ Pixar thang!
Pencils - Swat/ Scottie Watson
Inks - Peter Palmiotti
Colors -Jeff Balke
Publisher - Looking
Release date; 2008-ish (will nail down)

Story - Talon, Ezra and Bright Eyes are on a mission to break out some very special prisoners and an army of undead are there to stop them! Leading the undead.... you'll just have to wait for the San Diego Comic Con and a big anouncement!!!

Pin-ups - Maja Szchoska, Swat/ Scottie Watson, Peter Palmiotti, James Jacja, Weshoyot, Anderw Mangum, more!

Making apperances are Atomic Robo by Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener, Justice by Greg Weich, Ember by Larry Ragan, Burucu-Aja by Hector Rodriguez, Recovery by Sean Koury, Smiley Sherman by Ian Shires, Bandit by Virginia Mills-Barfield, Arachnid by Chris Bunhner, Dyna-Girl by Cary Kelly,Deathskull by Rolf Lejdegard, Pinnical by Troy Boyle, one of the Honor Brigade by Tom Stillwell, Puck, Patch, Eldritch, Fareriefire, and Azure by Carl Peckham (a good friend of mine who I'm glad to be a part of this, he gets 5 heroes!) and many more (if I asked for your charactor to show up in here and forgot to mention them here please send me a message!!!) ---Peter Palmiotti

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'm really excited about this.  Especially since I'm a big fan of Atomic Robo.  I'm also trying to help get a few more characters for the book (give Pete and the others a bit more time to actually work on the book).  So far I've contacted Martheus Wade (Jetta) about his Turra- Gun Angel character, Scott Claringbold for his Rabid character, and Capture Comics' very own Chris Jones about his Fusion character (mentioned on here before as the Fortune and Glory Kid).  I even went out on a limb and e-mailed Robert Kirkman about the possibility of him lending out Invincible or his Wolf-Man character, although I'll be muchly surprised if that one happens.  LOL!

Anyway, I'll be sure to keep you updated on who gets in and who doesn't.
