Brian Germain got the lettering of Bounty Hunter #0 pretty much finished. So I thought I'd post a page here for everyone to see..

Oh, and since I haven't been updating for a looooong time, in case you were wondering, the art chores were done by the awesome Scott Twells. Check him out on facebook sometime. His art is pretty sweet..

So I think we're (FINALLY) almost ready to print this bastard. Hopefully by year's end. Keep your fingers crossed..

Yes, this site is still active, I am not dead, and neither is Bounty Hunter.
In fact, I have some new things to share in the next little while, as soon as I figure out how to post with Blogger's new format. Hehehe. Yeah, it's been a while.
Anyway, Bounty Hunter #0 is almost there. The lettering is just being finished up by Brian Germain from Dark Elf Designs, and after that, the issue is pretty much ready to go. One or two tiny little things and we're good.
So keep your eyes open. I'll try to post a little more frequently with the updates (and thee have been quite a few things I could have posted in the last year).
Have a good one, folks.Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-44885502932183570542011-07-27T02:11:00.000-07:002011-07-27T02:14:52.477-07:00I'm baaaaaaack! After a hundred years of not being able to access my account, I'm finally back on the blogsite. Got some exciting things coming down the pipeline soon (for real this time), so stay tuned. I'm at work right now, or I'd post it now. ;)

I'll just say this: The Living Corpse, and Dark Elf Designs. And no, the two are not related.Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-5981092945337180232010-09-08T06:41:00.000-07:002010-09-08T06:42:45.881-07:00War of the Independents finally starts!!!!!Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-15159701416624604092009-06-28T07:30:00.001-07:002009-06-28T07:34:40.693-07:00Bounty Hunter/Living Corpse One-Pager!Well, a lot of you have been wondering about it, even though I'm not sure I even mentioned it on the blog, so I thought I'd let you know where it's at.

The artist, Evan Quiring, sent it to me and I sent it to Peter. Now, Peter has it, and is inking it as we speak. (That's Peter Palmiotti, inker extraordinaire, for those not in the know.)

When he's done, it heads back up to Canada to Jim for coloring and lettering, then back to me, then off to Buz and Ken over at the Living Corpse.

I'd give you a peek, but since it's only one page, that would ruin the whole thing. LOL.

More later.Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-37488534018221013602009-05-30T03:03:00.000-07:002009-05-30T03:11:55.005-07:00Bear with me!Stuff is coming, just a lot slower then I'd like. I've got too much on my plate at the moment. LOL! Yeah, just like me, I know.

Bounty Hunter in Oz is stalled on Chapter 12 at the moment. Hit a bit of a snag, and I'm in the process of working through it. I'm also working on a Bounty Hunter/Living Corpse project together with Evan Quiring, Peter Palmiotti and Jim Rodgers, so that's taking up a bit of my energy. Also on deck at the moment is a Rabid one-shot, featuring two Rabid stories, a team-up with Hayden Fryer's Billy: The Demon Slayer, annnnnnnd I'm totally reworking the zero issue for Bounty Hunter. Again!

Tales of Gratuitous Team-ups, you ask??? Don't know what's going on with that. Only two pages of script left, but who knows? I'll have to go bug Mr. McQuaid about it, and get back to it. LOL.

Like I said, bear with me.Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-59166939687363407492009-03-06T03:27:00.000-08:002009-03-06T03:29:45.632-08:00Bounty Hunter in Oz, COMING SOON!It's a novel. Bounty Hunter goes to Oz. That's all I'm saying right now.

It's being written very quickly, so I just need to get some illustrations done, and it's ready to go.

Stay Tuned.Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-14924129131144218472009-01-22T03:41:00.000-08:002009-01-22T04:16:54.585-08:00Upcoming Projects (and the finished cover artwork for Fox Hunt).Well, here it is, the finished artwork for the Capture Comics cover for Fox Hunt: Tales of Gratuitous Team-Ups. Scott tells me Marc is working on the Rabid/Transmooky Press version right now, so hopefully I'll be posting that soon. In the meantime, enjoy Jim Rodger's fantastic piece.

Now here's what I'm working on at the moment.

Bounty Hunter/Celtic Shaman/Rabid Fox Hunt: Tales of Gratuitous Team-Ups #1

Darren Walters: Bounty Hunter: The Superhero Killings novella

Bounty Hunter #0

And a 10-page short Bounty Hunter comic story that will hopefully be showing up in Planet Lovecraft.

Please note that Bounty Hunter #0 is being reworked. The plan right now is to just publish the 8-10 page back-up origin story, which is also the War of the Independents tie-in, as the the Zero issue. I may also include the 8 page Fusion story by Chris Jones as well. The main part of the issue is now going to be #1 of the series. I just find that the story works better this way. So #0 will be coming your way sooner then planned. Still not sure exactly when, but sooner.

And just so you know, Columbia Comics Golden Age character, The Skyman, and Chris's Fusion, will both be appearing in Fox Hunt. YAY!

Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-78392556583296063102008-12-25T03:14:00.001-08:002008-12-25T03:29:41.368-08:00Pencils for Fox Hunt cover (Oh, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!)Well, seeing as how Bounty Hunter #0 artist, Jim Rodgers, sent this to me on Christmas Eve, I thought I'd turn around and make it a Christmas Day present to anyone else who may be interested in seeing it.

This is the cover I'll be using on the copies of Fox Hunt I get printed. There will be two, yes TWO other covers, done by the artists for the other two characters, Celtic Shaman and Rabid. I'll post those here when they are done.

The script is comng along nicely (we're past the half way point) and Celtic Shaman artist, Daniel Wong, has started in on the pencils.

So, sometime in 2009, people. Keep your eyes open!!!

And again, MERRY CHRISTMAS and a HAPPY NEW YEAR from the folks at Capture Comics.
Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-35106745668852572202008-11-10T03:00:00.000-08:002008-11-10T03:01:42.908-08:00Coming Soon (well, hopefully)!!!

Just a tease!

Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-17688519534136693112008-10-01T18:08:00.000-07:002008-10-01T18:26:29.997-07:00Wow, it's been a while!
Sorry about the looooong lag time in between updates, people. Life's been hectic, and unfortunately, Bounty Hunter got put to the side for a bit. Good news is, I'm back working on it again. Still hoping to get the Zero issue out before or at the same time as War of the Independents #1. Although.....

...I've done a little restructuring with my planned release schedule. Since the Zero issue doesn't really feature Bounty Hunter in costume very much, being the origin story and all, I've decided to have him appear in a team-up book with two other indie characters first. The characters are Chris McQuaid's Celtic Shaman, and Scott Claringbold and Marc Olivent's Rabid. We're working on the script right now.

And for people who think I've gotten nothing accomplished at all, there is a ten page back-up story for a future issue of Bounty Hunter already in the can, featuring Rabid. Here's a page the final page for you to peek at.

That's Rabid, Bounty Hunter and Golden Age classic, the Skyman. Wheeeeeeee! The story itself is by Scott and Marc, with the last two pages scripted by myself and Marc. Marc did the art for the story.

I have also started work on a short novel chronicling the adventures of Bounty Hunter before he gets the superpowers, called Darren Walters: Bounty Hunter The Super-Hero Killings, so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Anyway, that's it for now. Hopefully the next update will come a lot faster then this one did.
Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-79970675018152038212008-07-06T06:14:00.003-07:002008-12-11T12:18:47.683-08:00Bounty Hunter vs. The Living Corpse

Check out this picture by the Living Corpse's Buz Hasson. The below in italics is taken from Peter Palmiotti's MySpace blog.

----------------------------------------------------------------------
War of the Independents: Talon/Ezra/Bright Eyes Triple Treat

Written by Peter Palmiotti, Mark Torres, Alan Abedessa, Dave Ryan, Swat/Scottie Watson, Sean O'reilly and many more! Trying for a multipal writer brainstorm kinda Disney/ Pixar thang!
Pencils - Swat/ Scottie Watson
Inks - Peter Palmiotti
Colors -Jeff Balke
Publisher - Looking
Release date; 2008-ish (will nail down)

Story - Talon, Ezra and Bright Eyes are on a mission to break out some very special prisoners and an army of undead are there to stop them! Leading the undead.... you'll just have to wait for the San Diego Comic Con and a big anouncement!!!

Pin-ups - Maja Szchoska, Swat/ Scottie Watson, Peter Palmiotti, James Jacja, Weshoyot, Anderw Mangum, more!

Making apperances are Atomic Robo by Brian Clevinger and Scott Wegener, Justice by Greg Weich, Ember by Larry Ragan, Burucu-Aja by Hector Rodriguez, Recovery by Sean Koury, Smiley Sherman by Ian Shires, Bandit by Virginia Mills-Barfield, Arachnid by Chris Bunhner, Dyna-Girl by Cary Kelly,Deathskull by Rolf Lejdegard, Pinnical by Troy Boyle, one of the Honor Brigade by Tom Stillwell, Puck, Patch, Eldritch, Fareriefire, and Azure by Carl Peckham (a good friend of mine who I'm glad to be a part of this, he gets 5 heroes!) and many more (if I asked for your charactor to show up in here and forgot to mention them here please send me a message!!!) ---Peter Palmiotti

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So I'm really excited about this. Especially since I'm a big fan of Atomic Robo. I'm also trying to help get a few more characters for the book (give Pete and the others a bit more time to actually work on the book). So far I've contacted Martheus Wade (Jetta) about his Turra- Gun Angel character, Scott Claringbold for his Rabid character, and Capture Comics' very own Chris Jones about his Fusion character (mentioned on here before as the Fortune and Glory Kid). I even went out on a limb and e-mailed Robert Kirkman about the possibility of him lending out Invincible or his Wolf-Man character, although I'll be muchly surprised if that one happens. LOL!

Anyway, I'll be sure to keep you updated on who gets in and who doesn't.

Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-5204583377222058652008-04-26T10:52:00.000-07:002008-12-11T12:18:48.640-08:00Bounty Hunter Prologue: The Bounty is Up.
Here it is, a day late. Well, because, as of yesterday, Bounty Hunter is going to War. That's right, I talked to series creator Dave Ryan yesterday and he has agreed to pencil Bounty Hunter into the series somewhere.

It'll just be a cameo, but that's good enough for me. It's all I wanted in the first place.

I'll keep everyone well informed, trust me. (well, on stuff I'm allowed to talk about, of course.)Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4991402313992934952.post-13029030317159421592008-03-05T05:53:00.000-08:002008-12-11T12:18:49.474-08:00New pic today.
Here is another character Gus did. I am the creator of the comic character, Bounty Hunter and the world BH inhabits. Welcome to Capture Comics on the 'net. I'm hoping to have an Official website up for my first venture into the world of self-publishing, Bounty Hunter ©, sometime closer to the actual release date of #0. Whenever that may be. I will let you know that I hope it will be sometime during Summer 2008. In the meantime, I will post updates about the series and any other thing about the series I can think of here. That will include photos, cover scans, team-up news, etc and etc.

Anyone stumbling across this blogsite by pure happenstance might be wondering what Bounty Hunter is about. Well, the storyline itself is Ultra Top Secret (shhhhh) at the moment, but in general....just think "Dungeons and Dragons meets the real world. With super-heroes." The series itself is planned to be the #0 issue, followed by a 6 issue limited series. After that I plan to switch over to novel format for a trilogy of stories, with maybe a one-shot comic here and there. I also want to expand out into audio dramas at some point, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

As for actual work on the #0 issue? Well after the setback of my first artist moving out of town and taking the artwork with him, I've had to start over. Luckily, it only took me one day to find a replacement. I don't know if that's some kind of record on the indie business, but I'm counting myself lucky. The artist I signed is named Gustavo Magalhaes and he is a 19 year old currently residing in Brazil. I will post one of his character sketches from Bounty Hunter below.

And for all the people (all 2 of you lol) out there wondering if Bounty Hunter will be turning up in Dave Ryan's War of the Independents, all I can say is STAY TUNED. Alright, the truth is, I have no idea. You'll all be the first to know (after me). Dave's a busy guy. :)

In the meantime, take a gander at some of the fine stuff being put out by the guys I have linked. The Wraith, Axiom-Man, and Bluewing all have some pretty well put together storylines for you to enjoy, in both comic book and novel formats. So head on over to their sites and plunk down some cash. You won't be disappointed.

I'll try to get some more pics up soon. Gus is busy working on a number of different things for me right now. Yeah, I'm running the poor guy ragged.

And thanks to Chris Jones at Blackwood Studio for the nifty Bounty Hunter logo above. It's the title logo for the comic itself. If you'd like Chris to do some graphic designs for you, Click Here to e-mail him.

Sean Kouryhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/13092030838176167509noreply@blogger.com7
